-5.4 pounds-- What?? :))

last night was a rought night, Acid Reflux was bugging me when I went to bed. I had drank a lot of water before going and also had those 100 calorie cookies I had mentioned and I don't think its a good idea to eat and drink a lot just before bed when I'm feeling so tight. (Note to self) It was wierd because, if I layed on my stomach (which I feel most comfortable), I'd nod off and then something would come up into my mouth and wake me up (I know disgusting and TMI) and then if I lay on one side, it did the same and then the other side, my stomach would make this kind of growling sound way down deep and then it would travel up through my pouch and make this strange girgling noise. Over and over and my husband kept making comments. I mean, it never stopped and kind of kept me awake. Does this happen to anyone???

I finally fell asleep sometime last night and woke up feeling quite good and particularly thin, so I decided to weigh on the Wii and it said I lost 5.4 pound since the last time I weighed in (i think i had gained a little since last time) and I'm down to 187. Can't believe it I'm officially in the 180's. I'm thinking if I continue the way I'm going and continue to loose, I might just make my goal. I don't know, once I'm feeling back to usual and can eat more, I'm sure my weight loss will come to a stand still or even put a couple back on, but that's okay. I'm just estatic to have lost so much. I guess the complaining worked J/K.

One more thing...

I had to go back and read some older posts because I couldn't remember if I already posted on this, but I found this great product the other day at Target (i'm sure at most grocery stores too). Remember when I blogged about eating a whole row of Girl Scout cookies back when I had no restriction??? I felt so bad, but I love those darn Thin Mint cookies. Well I found this Keebler brand of 100 calorie packs that tast very similar to those Thin Mints. They are the Grasshopper ones and I'm hooked. I'm goint to start buying 100 calorie packs of sweet treats for myself. I just love a sweet here and there and if I have those on hand, maybe I will make wiser choices.

I also ordered a bunh of Vitamins online today. I've been getting email of special offers from a websit called Puritan's Pride. The website is www.puritan.com I believe, anyway they are always having great deals on vitamins. They sent me an email with an offer (ends today) of $20 off $50 or more and free shipping. They are having all kinds of specials where you buy one get one free. So, I bought 2 bottles of B-12 Sublinguals, 2 bottels of chewable Adult Vitamins, 4 bottles of Papaya Enzyme, and two bottles of some other liquid stuff (for digestion my hubby said) and my total was like $31.00. Good deal huh??? Check it out . If you end up ordering today the code is TE5PP4D. But if you don't get a chance today, sign up for their email because they are always having deals like this.

I finally decided to order these vitamins because I can't take any of my pill form vitamins and I've been feeling so tired the last few days, I'm feeling dizzy at times, and my hair is falling out!! I usually can cut my B-12 pills in 1/2 or 1/4's and get them down, but I've been afraid the last few days, so I need to get myself set up with the proper vitamins so I can take them regarless of how my band is feeling that day. I have been continuing with the children's chewable vitamins, but was really happy to find the Adult Chewable vitamin's that this website had. You'd think they were paying me to advertise huh??? No, just excited to find this great deal and thought I'd share.

Feeling better...

So, I've been uncomfortable all day and that dreaded reflux started this morning. This is the same thing that happened to me last month after my over fill. I know I keep bringing this up, but I have figured out the problem. I get extreemly bloated like a week or so before I start. My breasts hurt and get swollen. My body really reacts before I start and obviously my band gets tighter. It won't last, I know that now, so I need to try to figure this out. I'm a little miserabe, but can't go get an unfill and then need a fill a week or so later. I went to the store to get some chewable Ibuprofin because that helps with swelling. I also read this advise in another post or blog. So, I got some this afternoon and it seems to be helping a bit. I was able to eat a chicken drumstick and 1/2 of a small salad. It seems like the reflux has subsided a bit and I think I'm just going to have to deal with this for a week or so a month. I think of it this way, I'll definately loose weight during that one week a month or should I say HOPE!!!

I did track my calories so far for today and I'm at about 950 calories and I haven't felt hungry at all today. I find that I'm constantly thinking that I need to eat and wondering what I might be able to get down. I feel like I've been eating constantly today, but when I sat down to log my calories, I really didn't eat much. I haven't been able to drink much either. It seems like when I'm this tight, the food stays in the pouch a lot long (or at least feels that way) and I'm afraid to drink because it will make me get stuck. I need to work on this though.

Anyway....I'm so glad the reflux is feeling a bit better.

Tighter...Tighter & Tighter...

So, it seems that each day that goes by, I seem to be getting tighter and tight (pre-menstral). I know what it is. I did track my calories yesterday and I was at 1185 calories. I do think I splurged a little yesterday, so maybe I'm not eating enough. The reason I say I splurged is because we have cousins sleeping over today and we ordered pizza. I ordered thin and crispy meat lovers pizza for me and hubby. I ate almost a slice and got that full feeling. The hard part is, it tasted so good, I really wanted more, but I guess I went overboard with the almost full slice I ate because I ended up in the bathroom PBing and was having little issues the rest of the night. I had trouble with just about everything yesterday. I usually do fine with cheese and crackers and they are my new food of choice. 1 slice of cheese, about 4 or 5 crackers and I'm full and feeling good. Well, yesterday, I even had trouble with that, but no PB episodes. I had chicken noodle soup for lunch and that was good. I tried cereal and two bites and had to throw it away (i guess liquid with solid doesn't go down so well). So, this morning, I had my usual protein drink in the morning and took like several big gulps and felt some discomfort, so I guess I'm super tight this morning and will have to take slow sips until I loosen up a little this afternoon.

I get like this bubbling coming up in my throat. Does anyone experience this? It doesn't hurt, It's just like my band is reminding me that it's there and to think before I eat. I'm not in any pain, unless I eat too much, too fast, or the wrong things, so I'm not complaining just putting down some of the thoughts that have been going through my mind. I am definitely feeling in much better spirits today. I didn't weigh in, I'm just going to try and focus on eating well today.

One other thing that I ponder as I have been stuck for a while is that when you loose weight you feel so good about yourself and want to get dressed up and go out with friends or spouses and those occasions usually include alcohol for me/us. I guess maybe lately, I've been having wine or some type of alcoholic beverage just about Evey weekend. I know I've read before that alcohol kind of plays around with your system and maybe just when my body is ready to let loose of some of my weight, i drink some alcohol and it messes everything up. Just a thought. I think I'll try to refrain from alcoholic beverages for a couple weeks and see what happens.

Hi

So, i haven't blogged in a while. I guess there is nothing new to post. I'm kind of in a funk again as my weight has not changed in almost 2 weeks. I've done a couple days where I gain and then loose again, but no real change. I get very discouraged when this happens. I don't need a fill. I do still have a ton of restriction and can't imagine it being any tighter. I am not eating very much at all, so that just makes the no loss worse. I don't see how I can't be loosing eating what I'm eating. I've been drinking tons of water and managing to exercise at least 2-3 times a week, so what the *?#@ is the problem (pardon my french).

The tightness of my band seems to be in a good place. I would say sweet spot, but doesn't that mean it's tight and your consistently loosing weight?? which I'm not. But to give you an idea of where I'm at. As you know, I don't eat breakfast, just a protein shake. Lunch has been something like this and egg or cheese and crackers (about 5), 1/2 and apple. Dinner is like 1-2 oz meat, 3 bites of corn, 1 slice of pizza (thin crust). I find I can't eat much before I get full and have had several PB episodes. I had a little steak the other night and it sat there for hours. We took the kids out to get doughnuts the other night and I couldn't resist, so I started to eat one and about 3 bites in I got that stuck slimming feeling and was in the bathroom. No more doughnuts. You're probably saying, perhaps this is why you're not loosing, but honestly, I only had like 3 bites and threw the rest away after my kissing the toilet. I find events like that good, because now I don't think I'll be eating anymore doughnuts in the near future, especially the one's sitting in the box that I'm about to throw away because they are getting old. In my pre band life, they wouldn't have made it a day. I find the same thing with bread. I don't even try much anymore, because I know I don't do well with it. We have a loaf of bread that I'm going to have to throw away because it's going bad. I love that because bread is my carb of choice, next to cake and cookies.

I know I won't make it to my first goal of 180 by the 15th now. That would mean I would have to loose like 10 pounds in two weeks and seeing as the scale hasn't moved in two weeks, I don't think that is going to happen.

So, I'm going to try not to weigh myself until Monday and see where I'm at. I need to stop focusing on the weight loss, but it's hard because I love to read the blogs and you all are doing so well and passing me by. I wish I was doing as well as you all. Have a good day!

Fun Weekend and No Weight Gain!!

So, this weekend was a lot of fun we spent two days at a friends house swimming in the pool, eating and having coctails. I still find that I can't eat much, but I had several glasses of wine over the long weekend and was worried a bit as to what the scale would show this morning, but it stayed the same, so I was a happy camper. I still find that I can't eat too much, which is a good thing and the food we ate over the weekend wasn't entirely bad. Last week, my weight was yo-yoing again, so i'm glad it is on the down swing today. It would have been nice to hit a new low, but I won't complain.

TGIF

I'm so glad it's Friday and a long 3 day weekend. We have a lot planned for the weekend and, of course, food surrounds all of these activities, so I'm going to try to be good. On the weight loss front, I haven't lost anymore weight, but I haven't gained either, so I'm grateful for that. I feel like I'm not eating much at all, so kind of disappointed that I'm not loosing. I've been getting in protein and have been exercising, so hopefully it's just a little plateau and I'll start loosing again.

Tonight we are going out for Chinese food for my mom's birthday, then Saturday, nothing major planned. For Sunday and Monday we have two different pool BBQ's to go to. I'm looking forward to relaxing and doing a little sun bathing.

All of my shorts are starting to get too big, so I went out today and bought a couple pairs of shorts. Size 14. I'm loving that size 14 is now my regular size and most everything in that size fits me (on the bottom). I'm still like an XL or 1X on the top. I also bought myself a few tank tops. I don't usually wear tank tops because they don't usually look so good on me, but they are not looking so bad these days, so I bout a few to get me through this hot summer.

Bunco was fun last night. I tried to eat shrimp, which I love, and it started to feel like it wasn't going down well, so I stopped eating it right away. I had a couple hot wings...yumm and some fruit and a couple glasses of wine.

I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Happy Thursday....

Okay, sorry it took me so long to post this picture of my great dessert. It's not much to look at, but it is yummy and it hits the spot when I want a dessert and not so bad either. I couldn't wait to eat it, so it's missing some pieces, but it gives you a look at the different layers in it.

So last night, my mom was picking me up this great pork from this deli she goes to. Its already cooked and seasoned and I shred it and make Carnitas tacos. My whole family loves them and it's easy because the meat is already cooked and done for me. I just add chili, onions and cilantro and walla!!!
Well, hubby went on a bike ride and it was like 5:00 and I was starving, so while I was waiting for him to get home so we could eat as a family, I decided to snack on a little piece of the meat, so I wouldn't be so hungry that I eat too fast. BIG MISTAKE!!!! after about 8 bites, I suddenly feel stuck. I start slimming and needless to say, it was about a 2.5 hour ordeal. When I get stuck, my food doesn't just come up. I have to make it come up. So, I'm sticking my finger down my throat to try to help it out and up comes a lot of slime and a little meat. I go lay down, and I realize I still have more and that slime is just backing up in my pouch, so I do it again. And repeat about 5 or 6 times, until I finally feel like I can swallow my slobber again. It was a horrible experience and the worst yet. Needless to say, I had to go and feed the family and didn't dare go near that meat again. I wasn't hungry anymore, so I didn't have tacos with the family. Sorry if this was too graphic, but boy was it horrible!!!
Anyway. I'm off to a field trip today a walking one because our school can't afford to send any of the kids on buses for field trips, so we have to only do walking ones. We are walking to the local Community College to see the Planetarium. it's about a 2 mile walk each way, so good exercise today and tonight is BUNCO. Fun, Fun!!!
Also, I've been working a lot lately with my new job. Did I mention I hate it!!! :( Not a fun job, but decent money, so I'll continue until something better comes along. I shouldn't complain, I get to work from home and set my own hours. It's just that I have to work a minimum of 15 and you have to schedule your hours and they get taken up fast, so I've been a little frustrated lately. Anyway, had to vent. I feel better now.

My Moody Band

I think it's weird how some days, the band is tight and other day's it is not. I don't know if I have a really fickle band or what. After my last fill I've been getting full after a couple bites and really having to chew well, etc. Yesterday, I was so nervous because I had that luncheon and was worried about not being able to eat much and people noticing or worse, feeling stuck. We started with a salad and I ate 3/4 of the salad very slowly and all was fine. Then came the main course, a chicken breast, veggies and some potatoes. I ate tiny bites ever so slowly and finished about 1/2 my plate and all was good, not feeling over stuffed. Then came dessert a pudding parfait. I ate about 1/2 of that. So all in all it went great. I didn't' have that stuffed feeling, like I had been having and I kind of like that feeling. Later that day, I was hungry again, so I cheated on a bag of chips and some cereal. Dinner I had taco salad. I started to eat too fast and it hurt a bit, so I slowed down. I'm finding I don't stay full for a long time like I am supposed to. I don't know if that is my head or my band. I have a little trouble with that area. I crave salty snacks and then sweet snacks. I hope my band is a little tighter today. I like when it is tight.

I also fear getting another fill because it always seems like I really tighten up when my time of the month comes along and it's about a 2 week long thing. So maybe I just need to suck it up and be extra diligent and see how I do when it starts to tighten on me. I don't know, I'll give it a few more days and see how it feels. Sorry for going on about boring stuff.

I did make this great dessert last night that has to sit overnight, so I can eat it today. I don't even know what it's called, I found it online and it's band friendly and figure friendly. I'll take a picture of it before I eat it, though it's not much to look at. I'll tell you how to make it.

You layer a casserole dish with saltine crackers
put a layer of sugar-free chocolate pudding (any flavor will do)
then a layer of fat-free Cool Whip
another layer of saltine crackers
sugar-free pudding
fat-free Cool Whip

Refrigerate overnight and it's like cake to me. You can cut it into pieces and eat it with a fork. I think it is delicious.

Ok, stay tuned for a picture later...

Happy Monday and no Weight Gain

I had a great weekend and wasn't good the entire time, so no weight gain is great!!! It was a busy weekend and lots of cheats, but I still feel I can hardly eat anything, so that is probably the reason for no weight gain.

Friday hubby and I went to happy hour to celebrate his Birthday. I realize Happy Hour is quite challenging for a banster. First of all, the idea is to eat and drink, which is not good when your a bandster and second, all the food and drinks are high calorie. I did order a couple screwdrivers and a salad. I could only eat about half of the very small dinner salad and I was stuffed. I had my drinks first. then ate the salad and one slice of a quesadilla. All in all, I felt I hardly ate, so the calories weren't too bad. Oh, I did have a small slice of carrot cake later that night (Birthday Carrot Cake).

On sat we had a 1st Holy Communion/Birthday Party to go to for our nephew and nice. It was a pool party and it was hot about 95 degrees, so I did manage to get into a bathing suit at a busy party and enjoy myself. After a couple glasses of wine that is. I got a really cute dress for this occasion and felt pretty good about myself. At the party that day, I felt I could eat a little more than usual, but still not very much at all. Also had quite a few glasses of wine throughout the course of the party. Not a very good calorie day.

Sunday, I did good. A couple bites of Breakfast Burrito in the morning (2 bites and Iwas feeling sick), cottage cheese and 3 chicken nuggets for lunch, 1/2 cheese sandwich for snack and chicken cesar salad for dinner. All and all, not bad, and I feel good that there still has not been weight gain since the fill.

I'm going to a luncheon today with the school's PTA. It's a sit down served lunch at a banquet. I'm not sure what they will serve (probably chicken something), but I'm hoping nothing makes me sick in front of all these people. I'm going to eat slow and carefully and hope no one comments on me not finnishing my plate.

I'm down to 191 as of today which is a 3 pound loss since Tuesday. If I can continue, I just might make my goal by June 15th.

Mini Goals

Now that I'm hopefully on my way to more weight loss and less yo-yoing, I decided to put some mini goals into my profile. I'm starting with one I've mentioned in my blog and that I set when I started this journey. I don't know if it is possible, but if I continue at a similar pace as the last few days, I might be able to do it. 180 is about the weight I was when I got married and when I began this journey, I told myself if I got to 180, that was all I needed. When the nurse, on surgery day, asked me how much I'd like to loose, I said if I can loose 40 pounds I'd be so happy and 60 pounds I'd be ecstatic. I never thought past 60 pounds to be completely honest. So I'm going to get to these mini goals and cross that bridge when it gets here.

I weighed this morning on wii and I was 191. I'm so close to those 180's and my BMI is like 30.?? It will be nice to see the 20's for BMI.

Tonight is hubby birthday, so we are going to go out to happy hour and maybe a movie or something. We have a birthday, swim party to go to tomorrow with my in laws. Haven't seen them in about a month, so I'm going to go looking for a new bathing suit today. Wish me luck!!

Sweet Spot....Yeah....Feels good!!

So after a few days of getting used to my new fill, I think I can honestly say, I think I might be at my sweet spot. I'm not PBing, but I don't eat very much and I feel full quite quickly. I think that is what it is all about. I've been trying to be careful about what I eat. And tonight, I ventured into real solids. Went to Weinerschnitzel (spelling???)...we love it there. I got myself a corn dog and chili fries (I know, I know, terrible....I was eating with my eyes, not my band). I decided to eat the corn dog first and after I finished, I was stuffed and couldn't eat another bite. I swore the rest of the family to leave my chili fries and I would eat them later and of course, about an hour later, I wasn't hungry, but wanted a bite and boy was that a mistake. I was hunched over the toilet trying to get it up, but it never came up, it just finally went down after about 20 min. I thew the rest of those things in the trash. Does this sound familiar to anyone??? I did this to myself about a month or so ago with the same damn chili fries. Gluten for punishment, I'm sure I'll try it again and have the same experience.

I'm finding that I don't PB very easily, in fact, I've never been one to throw up even when I've drunken too much, so I'm thinking when food gets stuck, it's just not going to come up easily. I think I'm going to have to suffer until it makes it's way down.

I also need to work on slowing down.

Anyway, I'm finally experiencing the band the way I think it is supposed to be and I hope it lasts for a while. I lost another .2 pounds as of this morning. This is the first day after solid food that I lost weight and didn't actually gain. I hope I loose again tomorrow even after the Corn dog and no exercise, but we'll see. I'm going to be patient and let this band work with me.

I skipped the gym today. Had too much to do. I'm going to try to use my exercise bike tonight to get in some exercise.

Later today.

Ok, so I have been working from home today taking calls and I breaked for about 15 min to eat something. My hunger has come back a bit. I drank my usual protein breakfast and for lunch, I had some Tortellini left over from dinner a couple nights ago. There was only about 6 really small ones, so I ate those. Nothing got stuck, but boy was I full after eating such a small amount. I had about 10 grapes a while later and was full off those too. I think I'll have a protein shake in the afternoon as a snack since that filled me up so much last night. For dinner, I'll do a salad or soup and hope I don't cheat on anything bad, but so far so good. Hope this fullness continues, because that will be a good sign that I'm at the sweet spot.

30 pounds gone....

Well, I'm on my way. After a day of liquids, I lost two pounds and my bathroom scale reads 191 and the Wii reads 192. That is 30 pounds gone since the preop diet. Yeah!!! I don't think I ever mentioned that I have this really old analog scale in my bathroom and sometimes it stats off a pound over and I have to subtract a pound and sometimes it starts off a pound less and I have to add a pound. I step on and off about 3 times to get the right weight, but it always weighs me as 1-2 pounds lighter than the wii and I've found that my doctors scale weighs me even lighter. Do you think they rig it that way?? It's a digital scale and yesterday morning I was 194 of the wii and then went to the Dr.'s fully dressed and still weighed 194. Hmmmmm.... Anyway, getting back to my story, today when I sepped on the wii, I was 192, so I'm on my way....

Don't you just love stepping on the scale the day after a full day of liquids??? I wen't to the gym too.

I have to work today and I have a headache, but I'm afraid to take an Advil because I'm not sure how tight I am. I hate the tast of crushed meds, but maybe I should to it.

Fill #4 & Hoping It's The One...

Ok, so went to get the fill, but as you all know, when your on liquids, it's kind of hard to tell how good it is. All I can say is it doesn't hurt and I can drink water and protein drinks fine and without pain. That's always a good thing.

I discussed the fact that I don't want to be too tight and how much he gave me last time and told him the I think .5cc is what I would like and that I'd come back in a week or two if it seems I need more. I asked him about how my menstrual cycle affects my band. And he said it definitely affects it and that it will get tight before and possible during my period. As many of us had said is the case for them, so Dr. agrees. He also said (I can't remember the word he used) the band will tighten and loosen with our moods. He said when your sad or depressed, it will be a bit tighter and when your happy and energetic you will be able to eat more. I haven't noticed that, but would be interested to see if anyone else has noticed that? I guess it kind of goes with the idea that when some people are sad, they don't want to eat and when some people are happy, they gain weight. I'm not sure if this idea is related, but I thought it was interesting.

So back to me and my fill (ha ha!! me, me, me) I must say, I haven't been as hungry as I normally am when I have a fill and am on liquids, but my nighttime munchies haven't kicked in yet. Is everyone out there told to be on liquids for a day or two when they get a fill?? I think I've read other blogs where they can go to eating normally right after the fill, but just to be cautious. Does it hurt to have a little something solid??? I don't see why if your not getting stuck, but I'll follow the rules. I'll eat soft stuff tomorrow. I had a protein shake in the morning, some water and then a protein drink for lunch and then some Slit Pea soup for dinner and I'm going to make a strawberry banana Protein smoothie after I'm done typing. Can you tell I'm starting to get hungry??

As I was leaving the office the Dr. told me Don't be shy about calling for a fill. Come as soon as you feel you can eat more. I told him that I tried to get one two weeks ago, but couldn't get an appointment. He looked unhappy and said to call his main office and they will get me in at one of his offices for a fill. So that made me feel good, I can go to any of his offices to get a fill whenever I need one. And this is the second time he has told me come as soon as you feel you need one. So, I'm going to do exactly that. He was happy with my weight loss of 6 pounds, so I guess I'm on track. He said yo-yoin is ok as long as on the down swings keep getting lower. So, I have a new attitude for today anyways.

Progress.....Yeah!!

Ok, so I looked back on this last month today and realize I had a lot of down moments feeling like my band isn't working like it should. Today I go for my 4th fill and woke up feeling bloated because my friend is here. I didn't weigh in yesterday, just don't want to face it really, but thought I should weigh in today on the Wii so I can have a reference point as to what I weighed on fill #4. So, I stepped on the Wii and I was at 194, Yeah!!! I was really happy (that damn scale again setting my moods) but, a good mood, none the less. I decided to look back at what i weighed on my last fill a month ago and I was at 200 pound the day before the fill, so that is 6 pounds in a month. Not too shabby. I realize I go up and down as it seems everybody does and the big picture is where I should be looking especially when the scale is not my friend. 6 pounds is about what the band promises in a month. I also realize that I've only had the band 4 months and when I started this journey, I made a mini goal of being around 180 by June 15th. I don't know if I can do that, but if I keep up how I've been doing, I'll be pretty close. At least in the 180's. So I have a new attitude with the band this morning and I hope it sticks, because I don't like feeling defeated by this band. I'm going to win and it might take me over a year, but I'll get there. I'll blog later this afternoon to tell you how the fill went.

Nice Mother's Day

Hi all. Hope eveyone had a nice Mother's Day. I did. I was able to sleep in which I don't get to do often while Dad and boys banged around in the kitchen making a wonderful Mother's Day breakfast for me. Eggs, Sourdough Toast, bacon and OJ. I had a couple bites of the toast and stopped. I loooooovvvveeeee sourdough toast with real butter and I keep trying it and most times, it gives me trouble, but it doesn't stop me from trying the next time. I don't know why i do it to myself. Glutten for punnishment I guess. I ate a couple bites of egg and about 3 slices of bacon and I was done. I don't eat much in the morning and, like i said I'm much tighter because of my period. Speaking of period. I finally started today and, of course, tomorrow is my fill. Anyway after breakfast dad and boys actually cleaned up the kitchen (after many hints) and they gave me some flowers and some jewelry (ear rings and a bracelet). I'm always reminding my hubby that I need large bracelets because my wrists are thick and this one fit great although I don't think it would have fit 4 months ago. Yeah me!!! Then we lounged around for a while reading the paper and reading blogs and then we went to my moms and louged by the pool. Later that night, my parents, uncle and aunt & some family friends and us went out to a steak house for a nice dinner. It was a great Mother's Day, but a little sad for us all since we have alway's had my Granny around us and she was always the center of attention, so I find our family gatherings are a little different now. My mom and my uncle held up well and Granny has been in my thoughts a lot this past week.

On another weight loss note. I was reading a freinds blog about buying a new bra and it reminded me that my bras have been much looser lately and not holding the girls up as well as they used to. The girls seem to be heading south a bit, so I knew I needed to buy a new bra. All my old ones were 40 DD (I'm large in the chest area), so I thought I must be in a D now and my back measurment is probably a 38, so I tried 38 D and I was falling out of them. I have never gotten a bra fitting before, too embarrasing, so I figured out on my own that as the back gets smaller the cups get smaller too. So I tried a 38 DD and a 36 DD both fit, but the 38 was a little more comforable and it was buy one get one 1/2 off, so I got both and won't be needing to buy a new bra for a while, I hope. I must confess, I remember when I was younger and thinner and alway thought a full 36 C was the best size breasts. I don't know if that will happen for me again after kids and all, but it would be nice. I think about breast augmentation and don't know if I would ever do it. I definately don't want to be bigger and I've seen people who get reductions and don't really think it looks all that great as far as the breasts look. It seems like you need to put in the implants to have that perky, go without a bra look. Do you know what I mean??? I'd love to have beautiful boobs and not have to wear a bra all the time, but if I got implants, I'd be a F or G or H or something. I guess I'll wait a while before I cross that bridge, but i'd love to hear your thoughts on the idea. By the time I get to goal my girls will be pointing to my toes and hanging to my waist.

Anyway. I'm gonna go for now...I'll try to post tomorrow and let you know about my fill, but I probably won't know how tight it is for a few days and I'm going to try to not panic if it seems a little tight because in a few days I'll be off my period and it will loosen up a bit I hope. I'm going to ask for only .5cc and see what he says.

Strange thing happened this morning...

I was getting ready to work and was out of coffee and MUST HAVE CAFFINE IN THE MORNING, so I had to rund down to the store to grab milk since the kids had drinken the last. Made my Espresso protein drink (i have it everyday and suck it down without problems), I take a sip and all of a sudden, it feels like I'm stuck and feel like I'm going to throw up and a lot of pain and discomfort. I went to the sink and spit up a little something and felt better. Then I drank the rest very cautiously. I'm about to start my period and wondering if it effects my band when I get ready to start. I was on my period when I got my last fill and can't help but wonder if it was extra tight because of this. I'll probably be on my period when I get the next fill too.....Urrrrr. Sorry if this is too much info... just something I've been thinking about since I never PB and in the last two days have done it twice and on coffee at that.

Out of my Funk.....I hope!!

Well, I've been in a bit of a funk for the past couple weeks. Eating poorly, feeling tired, gaining weight, feeling like I'm not going to loose anymore weight. I have been trying to exercise and I always make decisions to eat right this week and some how, I get weak and don't eat so good and I haven't wanted to face the scale. Well, on Tuesday, I usually go to kickboxing, but didn't feel like it, so I committed to riding my exercise bike 10 miles (30 min) and then I lifted some weights at home. I've been sore ever since, but I like being sore. It makes me feel like I worked out good. Last night, we had a great spinnach, crannberry, chicken salad for dinner and it was great. Today, I decided to go onto the Wii and weigh in since I skipped Monday and low and behold, I dropped weight. I'm at 194.6!!!! Yeah!!! that is a new all time low and I wasn't even expecting it. I'm going to do salad for dinner again tonight and work out today and I hope to drop more.

Since the beginning of the band, I had made a goal that I would like to be down to 180 (my pre child weight) by June 14th. Why June 14th? because we have a great camping trip planned at the beach. Lately, I had given up on that goal feeling like 195 was where I was going to stay. If I can jump start my weight loss again, that goal might be possible. I'm going to try and see if i can do it. I go in for my next fill on Tuesday and am counting the days. I'm only going to ask for .5cc because I think I am near where I need to be.

Yesterday, I was eating a small Quesadilla with corn tortillas and I ate it slowly and then, without thinking, I took a sip or Crystal Light and OMG. I got stuck. I started to slime (I think) and went to the bathroom and it felt like it wanted to come up, but wasn't. So I thought if I lay down on my bed, maybe it will be able to make it's way down, but no. It wanted to come up, so I went to the toilet and hugged it until it did. Not that I'm happy to PB, but at least it tells me my band is tight right?

Well, I better go. Sorry I haven't been posting in a while, my new jobs have been keeping me quite busy and I work most of today.

Havn't posted in a while

Well, I haven't posted in a while. Not much new to report includign the weight loss front. I've been holding steady. I haven't been eating real well. I have this new part-time job that is taking up a lot of my free time while the kids are in school. I haven't gotten used to the eating part. I'm finding myself snacking on not so good foods (chips are my worst enemy) I've been wanting to eat late at night too. I have to stop these bad habbits. I have, however, made it to the gym on Tues and Thurs and went for a long bike ride last Sun. So, I'm feeling good about my exercise. I'm about to start though and just feel blah and bloated. I haven't weighed in on the wii fit in a while, just don't want to know really.

I keep reading everyones blogs and love to see your progress.
